DUI Warrant
Police report they charged Alan Burdick, 66, of New Milford on November 9 at Danbury Superior Court on a rearrest warrant listing charges of failure to appear in court and driving under the influence.
Police said Burdick was placed under a $2,500 bond and presented to a judge on the charges.
Dual DUI Charges
Police said they learned November 11 that Anthony Dvorsky, 36, of 18 Sunnyview Terrace, Sandy Hook, was at that address and went there to serve two rearrest warrants against him.
Each of the two warrants listed charges of failure to appear in court and driving under the influence, police said. Police said they took Dvorsky into custody without incident.
Police held Dvorsky on bonds totaling $2,500 for a November 13 appearance in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
Acura Vs Deer
Police report motorist Cynthia Toscano, 26, of Trumbull was driving a 1991 Acura Integra westbound on Mile Hill Road about 6 pm November 9 when a deer ran into the road and the auto struck it. The deer left the accident scene and could not be found, police said.
Toscano was not injured. No enforcement action was taken.
Mt Pleasant Crash
Motorist Ruiz Mendez, 23, of Monroe, who was driving a 1992 Ford Explorer eastbound on Mt Pleasant Road about 1,300 feet east of the Bethel town line about 5:15 pm November 8, stopped for traffic, and was struck from behind by motorist Rachel Gharis-Goldberg, 35, of Washington, who was driving a 1994 Mazda Protégé sedan, police said.
Gharis-Goldberg was treated at the scene for reported neck and knee pain, police said.
Police issued Gharis-Goldberg a written warning for following too closely. Police issued Mendez an infraction ticket on a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Chevrolet Vs Mercedes
State police report a two-car accident on the Exit 9 entrance ramp leading to westbound Interstate 84 in Hawleyville about 7:12 am November 13.
State police said motorist Ellen R. Whalen, 53, of 65 Main Street, who had been traveling northbound on Hawleyville Road in a 1995 Mercedes-Benz 300 sedan, entered the on-ramp and stopped at a âyieldâ sign for traffic.
Whalen was then struck from behind by motorist Paul Watcke, 19, of 30 Valley View Road, who was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Impala sedan, state police said. Whalen was transported to Danbury Hospital to be treated, state police said.
State police said Watcke was traveling at an unreasonable speed.
Hydroplaning Chevrolet
State police report motorist Gustavo A. Quisde, 43, of Danbury, who was driving a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 about 2,500 feet east of the Exit 11 off-ramp in a heavy rain about 7:30 am November 10, when he braked, and the auto began hydroplaning, left the right side of the roadway, and then hit some ledge and a tree.
Quisde was not injured, state police said. State police said Quisde had unsafe tires.
Interstate Collision
State police report a two-car accident on westbound Interstate 84 about 2,500 feet east of Exit 9, about 8:11 am November 8.
Motorist Kevin P. Spieker, 42, of 1 Farmery Lane, who was driving a 1998 Chrysler Sebring, slowed down for traffic and was struck from behind by motorist Heather Cappabianca, 45, of Winsted, who was driving a 1989 Honda Prelude.
There were no injuries. State police said Cappabianca was following too closely.
Toyota Vs Truck
State police report that motorist Kenneth W. Brody, 71, of Sharon, Mass, who was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry on westbound Interstate 84 about 11:30 am November 6, drifted from the left lane into the right lane and struck a 1997 Freightliner tractor-trailer truck driven by Michael D. Bradley, 34, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
There were no injuries. State police said Brody made a highway lane violation.
DUI Charge
Police report they saw motorist Robert J. Muskus, 50, of Stamford driving northbound on South Main Street, near Elm Drive, about 10:51 pm November 15 without having his headlamps illuminated.
Muskus crossed into the southbound travel lane and drove erratically, police said.
Police stopped Muskus and after investigating, charged him with driving under the influence, operating a motor vehicle while under suspension, failure to drive to the right, and operating a motor vehicle at night without headlamp illumination.
Police said Muskus was scheduled to appear November 16 in Danbury Superior Court to answer the charges.
BMW Into Tree
Police said motorist Hung V. Tran, 46, of West Haven was driving a 1988 BMW 735-i southbound on Taunton Hill Road about 8:08 pm November 9 when the auto went out of control and struck a tree, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
Tran and four passengers â Lan Ngyen, no age given; Henry Tran, 17; Ronny Tran, 17; and Hanh Tran, 16, all of West Haven â were transported to Danbury Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said.
Police verbally warned Hung Tran for making a restricted turn.
Hawleyville Mishap
Police report motorist Klaus C. Keller, 20, of Poughquag, N.Y., who was driving a 1991 Acura Integra, was backing up eastbound on Patricia Lane about 4:43 am November 11, when he failed to obey a stop sign at Patricia Laneâs intersection with Farrrell Road, skidded across Farrell Road, and went off the street.
Police said they issued an infraction ticket to Keller listing a stop sign violation and unsafe backing.
South Main Accident
Police said motorist James J. Redinger, 43, of Danbury was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup truck northbound on South Main Street about 5:54 pm November 10 in wet conditions when he stopped in heavy traffic.
A northbound 1998 Toyota Corolla driven by Sara M. Klopfenstein, 17, of 14 Old Castle Drive skidded into the rear end of the pickup truck, police said. Police said there were no injuries. Police issued Klopfenstein a written warning for following too closely.
