Newtown High School’s boys’ soccer team completed the season with an unbeaten record at 10-0-2, concluding the campaign with a 5-0 triumph over Brookfield on November 5.

Brandon Akbas scored twice, and Tanner Trede, Ryan Ruddy, and Jake Gonski also scored.

The Nighthawks earned a bye in the quarterfinal round of the South-West Conference North Division Tournament and have a semifinal home game Thursday against the winner of Brookfield and Immaculate of Danbury at 6 pm.
