St Rose of Lima Preschool, located at 40 Church Hill Road in Newtown, will hold its Fall Open House for parents and prospective students on Wednesday and Thursday, November 19-20, from 9 am to 11 am both days.

Faculty, administrative staff, current parents, and admissions representatives will be available to conduct guided tours and provide information about the three, four, and five-day preschool programs.

St Rose of Lima Preschool’s comprehensive curriculum includes fine arts, music, language arts, mathematics, physical education, religion, science, and world languages. The iPad technology is integrated across the curriculum. The preschool faculty is committed to creating an atmosphere that is both nurturing and comforting, allowing children to discover their individuality and how they relate collectively.

St Rose of Lima’s curriculum is a Catholic, faith-based program where children pray and grow in their relationship with God. St Rose of Lima Preschool meets nationally recognized criteria set forth by the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

The main school opened its doors to the Newtown community and surrounding towns in 1958. Since 1989, St Rose of Lima School has offered a full-day kindergarten, and has mapped the preschool curriculum to ensure that children are fully prepared for a seamless transition into a full-day kindergarten setting. Preschool students are also afforded the unique opportunity to share academic resources, facilities, unique educational, and enrichment programs with students in St Rose of Lima’s kindergarten through eighth grade program. The preschool opened its doors in 2000.

Interested parents and their children are not required to RSVP, but it is appreciated. For additional information or to RSVP, parents may contact the St Rose of Lima School Office of Admissions at 203-426-5102, extension 27, or by email at admissions@stroseschool.com.
