Is Masonicareâs Next Lunch And Learn Topic
A free program for the community titled âProviding Critical Legal Care for All Generationsâ will be held Tuesday, November 16, in the Lodge Room at Masonicare at Newtown. Julia M. Brown, JD, will present the program, which will begin at noon with a complimentary lunch.
An elder law specialist based in Waterbury, Attorney Brown has been a nominated elder law super lawyer since 2006 and is also an accredited attorney for veterans benefits. In her presentation, she will review Medicare coverage, long-term care insurance, and the eligibility requirements for Title 19 (Medicaid) to pay for nursing home care.Â
She will discuss the pitfalls and common misconceptions about the look-back period, transfers of assets, as well as recent changes to this complex entitlement program. Attorney Brown will also be available to answer questions.  Â
There is no fee for the program, but seating is limited. Those wishing to attend should call the Masonicare HelpLine at 888-679-9997 to make a reservation.  Â
