Newtown native Micaela (Hurly) McMurrough, of New York City, ran in the ING New York City Marathon on November 7 and completed the 26.2-mile course in 3:00.02, good for an impressive 64th-place among women. McMurrough ran the race as a member of Hope For The Warriors to raise money for the nonprofit organization that supports wounded US service members, their families, and the families of the fallen.
