'Shards' Corrections
âShardsâ Corrections
Visitors to the community room of C.H. Booth Library during the next month are being welcomed into a brand-new world, one created by the Sandy Hook artist Mark Aldrich. âShards Of Time: Scenes From A Graphic Novelâ is on view through November 24 at the library, at 25 Main Street in Newtown.
Mr Aldrich is working on an as-yet-unpublished 15-volume fiction series that concerns the adventures of a group of architectural preservationists. The exhibition at Booth Library offers panels and text from the first volume, titled The Poison Swamp, and the book covers of the full series.
A feature about Mr Aldrich and his work ran in the November 2 issue of The Newtown Bee. Mr Aldrich has been working as the library media specialist at Garner Correctional Institute in Sandy Hook since 1996, not 1986 as had been previously printed. Also, his teacher is Margo Rocklen.
