The Newtown Cultural Arts Commission thanks The Newtown Bee and [Newtown Bee Associate Editor] Shannon Hicks for the terrific article on Hanna Roehrs’ being honored as a Master Weaver (The Newtown Bee, November 6, 2020, “Roehrs Earns Master Weaver Ranking”) by the Handweavers’ Guild of Connecticut.

We also thank Hanna for sharing her expertise with Weaving Newtown, a program of Newtown Cultural Arts Commission (NCAC), for all these years. We thank Jen Rogers for sharing her enthusiasm and administrative skills with Weaving Newtown.

Finally, the Newtown Cultural Arts Commission must thank the Newtown Congregational Church for their help in hosting the program.

In these times of COVID, we appreciate the church’s flexibility and support.
