To âMessiahâ
DANBURY â The first chorus rehearsal for Danbury Music Centreâs annual performance of Handelâs Messiah will be Tuesday, November 24, at 7:30 pm, at Danbury Music Centre, 256 Main Street. The performance will be at The First Congregational Church, on the corner of Deer Hill Avenue and West Street, on Friday, December 18, at 7:30 pm.
Music Director and Conductor Richard Price will direct Danbury Concert Chorus and Chamber Orchestra. Joining the chorus and orchestra will be soloists Jane Anne Tucker, soprano; Kirsten Sollek, mezzo-soprano; Phillip Anderson, tenor; and Jack Brown, bass.
All area singers are invited to participate, provided they are able to attend at least three of the four Tuesday rehearsals, and the dress rehearsal on Thursday, December 17. Participation is free to members of Danbury Music Centre at the $50 and higher level. Otherwise, there is a $25 fee to participate.
Singers may borrow a vocal score from the Music Centre or use their own Messiah vocal score (Schirmer edition only). Scores will be loaned first-come, first-served basis.
