The Year Part Of IAIS Festival
WASHINGTON â Marge Bruchac will bring the northeastern Native past to life with trickster tales, lesson stories and historical anecdotes that intrigue, teach and entertain listeners of all ages during the Annual Storytelling Festival at The Institute for American Indian Studies.
The museum will host this yearâs event on Saturday, November 25.
Ms Bruchac and her husband, Justin Kennick, on drum and rattles, will perform at 12:30 and 2:30 pm. The couple will sing traditional and contemporary Abenaki greeting songs, friendship songs and dance tunes.
Featured at Old Sturbridge Village, Plimoth Plantation, Mystic Seaport Sea Music Festival and other venues, Marge Bruchac has been honored as Storyteller of the Year for public speaking.
