How would you like to watch a New York Giants game at home while sharing the couch with one of Big Blueâs all-time greats?
The Newtown High School Band Parents Association is sponsoring a live auction â held at halftime of the traditional Newtown/Masuk Thanksgiving football game on November 22 â where the top bid will bring former New York Giants running back Joe Morris to your house to watch the Giants battle the Carolina Panthers on December 10 or the Giants battle the Washington Redskins on December 31.
Bidding will start at $1,500.
Bidding does not have to be by individuals. A group of Giant fans could get together, pool their resources, and then throw a party. Bid for a chance to spend an afternoon with an NFL great, watch the game, listen to his insight, ask questions, get an autograph, take pictures, and â better yet â reminisce about the 1986 season.
That was the year Morris rushed for 1,516 yards and 21 touchdowns and led the Giants to their first Super Bowl championship.
