*Thanksgiving Craft Workshop: Marie Walker will conduct a Thanksgiving craft workshop for children ages 6 and up on Saturday, November 18, from 2 to 3 pm.
A $3 material fee is due upon registration. Sign up at the childrenâs circulation desk. *Nutmeg Book Discussion: Macaroni Boy by Katherine Ayers will be discussed on Wednesday, November 29, from 4 to 5 pm, in the Story Room.
Living in Pittsburgh during the Great Depression, Mike investigates the cause of the sickness that is affecting so many in his community, including his own grandfather. To learn the truth he must enlist the help of the neighborhood bully who nicknames Mike âMacaroni Boy.â
All students in grades 4-6 are welcome to join this informal discussion.

On Sunday afternoon, December 10, we will host the fourth annual showcase of young writers in grades 6-10. Watch this space for more information and plan to join us for an amazing afternoon of original stories and poems written and read by young Newtown authors.

Adult Programs
*Independent Film Series: Films are screened in the meeting room at 7:30 pm.
The next film, being shown on Tuesday, November 14, is Campfire.
*Celebrating Book Groups: The library is planning a party and reception celebrating all of the book groups in town.
Please call the library with the name of a contact person so we can get your input and include your book group in the fun.
*Book Nook: A fantastic assortment of science fiction, fantasy and role playing books are available at the Friends of the Libraryâs Book Nook, located next to the main circulation desk on the second floor this week. These would make perfect gifts for collectors and lovers of Dungeons and Dragons, Ravenloft, and Star Wars.
