Planning Special Events

BETHEL — Bethel Historical Society has two special events, both open to the public, coming up within the next few weeks.

On Sunday, November 19, the historical society will team up with Danbury Railway Museum to present “Railroading Around Bethel,” a lecture to be presented by Peter McLachlan.

The presentation will begin at 2 pm at the 1842 Second Meeting House, 40 Main Street. Admission is free.

On December 9 the historical society will offer “A Child’s Victorian Christmas Tea,” also in the historical society’s building at 40 Main Street.

Children, with an adult guardian, are invited to bring a doll or friend to spend an afternoon enjoying tea and making crafts. The program will run from 1 to 2:30 pm and is for ages 5 and up.

Cost is $10 per child and space is limited, so reservations are requested no later than December 2.

For reservations or additional information call Mary Ferri, 730-2726.
