Auditions For ‘Guys & Dolls’

DANBURY — Stage Door Productions will host another round of auditions for the all-time classic production of Guys & Dolls, which will be presented at the Portuguese Cultural Center in February and March.

The next auditions will be on Sunday, November 19, at the cultural center, 65 Sand Pit Road, from 3 to 7 pm.

Adult actors and teens (especially males), at least 16 years of age, who have some previous acting and singing experience are being sought. Some roles require the ability to learn simple dance routines.

The company is also in need of six to eight females who can sing dance well to perform as The Hot Box Girls.

Those auditioning should bring an upbeat number and a ballad with sheet music to perform.  A piece from the show would be helpful, but not required.

Headshots and resumes are preferred. Attendees will be asked to read. Be prepared to learn a simple dance routine; therefore, wear comfortable shoes (no heels, etc).

Rehearsals will run Friday and Monday evenings, and Sunday afternoons. Further rehearsal information given at auditions if needed.

The performances will Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees, February 23 to March 11.

Attendees with conflicts for any of the rehearsal or production dates are asked to inform the producers of these conflicts during the auditions.
