Processing Engineer

Andrew Gerda, Jr, 90, of Trumbull, died November 7 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mr Gerda was born in Bridgeport, and was a lifelong area resident.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Gerda and his wife, Linda, of Newtown, and Michael Gerda of Trumbull; a sister, Frances Gerda of Trumbull; three grandchildren, Jennifer Gerda, Jason Gerda, and Karen Gerda. He was the widower of Margaret Tenay Gerda.

Mr Gerda was a former processing engineer for the former Avco-Lycoming Co. and also the manger of maintenance and housekeeping for the Jewish Home for the Elderly.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, November 10, at 10:30 am (directly) at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Burial will be in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, November 9, from 4 to 7 pm, at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport.
