Masquerade Ball Was A Success
Masquerade Ball Was A Success
To the Editor:
Recently the Newtown High School Charity Club hosted a Masquerade Ball to raise money for the East Coast Assistance Dogs. (ECAD is an organization that trains dogs to do certain tasks that wheelchair bound people cannot do on their own. The money is raised to train the dogs so ECAD can donate them to people who really need the help.)
This event was a great success, and we would like to give a special thanks to everyone that donated and bought tickets. Also a huge thank-you to the local companies that generously contributed so much. This event would not have been possible or as successful without so much help from everyone.
Thank you to the people at the Newtown Country Mill who donated the festive decorations. Thank you for the food from Dunkin Donuts, Stop and Shop, and Big Y. We also received gift certificates from Avance Esthetiques, Chileâs, the River Cone Ice Cream Shop, Doughnut Hut, Applebeeâs, Carminuccioâs Pizza and Subs, Subway, and Circuit City. Also a huge thank you to Stop and Shop, Dunkin Donuts and the Pet Connection for allowing us to stand outside their stores to collect donations.
Finally, we would especially like to thank all of the people who bought tickets and donated money. The Charity Club appreciates your support and ECAD is most grateful. We raised a lot of money for ECAD and that would not have been possible without the help and generosity of everyone who contributed. Once again, a huge thanks to everyone.
Sincerely,
Ashley L. Molden
