JOE WASKO of Newtown, a 1998 graduate of Newtown High School, has played in eight games as defensive nose tackle for St. Anselm’s College. The two-time All-SWC and 1997 All-State selection has helped lead the Hawks – fielding their first varsity football team since 1941 – to a record of 4-4. The Hawks will be traveling to Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday, November 13, for a 1 pm contest against the Owls.
