Thousands Went Trick Or Treating On Main Street This Halloween
Thousands of costumed trick or treaters took to Main Street for Halloween on October 31 in the hopes of filling up their bags with candy and seeing all the lovely houses decorated for the occasion.
Newtown Bee spotted families and children running up Church Hill Road from as early as 4 pm. Homeowners on Main Street showed their Halloween spirit by going all out with decorations, with no two houses looking alike.
One family themed their house after the hit movie Jurassic Park, complete with large inflatable dinosaurs that towered over anyone who dared to walk by. Another family had their house taken over by aliens, except not really. Although, it certainly looked like they did with just how well they themed their house after an alien invasion, as their lawn was decorated with several green aliens and a UFO.
Trick or treaters dressed up as witches, Disney princesses, Spiderman, cowgirl Barbie, Wednesday Addams, grim reapers, mermaids, dinosaurs, and more this time around. Newtown Police were also there to guide everyone as they safely walked from house to house along Main Street. All of the energy shown from the community, whether it was from longtime residents or visitors stopping by, has made this Halloween another one for the books for Newtown.
