October 28 was our 28th community Health Fair. And it was a spectacular day at Reed Intermediate School.

The utmost thanks to Reed School team who make all that hard work look seamless and easy.

It’s hard to decide which was better, all the great health services and information we share, or all the goodwill and good feelings amongst our exhibitors and visitors — everyone was so happy!

Everyone was truly a joy to work with.

Thanks to John Voket, our terrific emcee again this year. Special thanks to our sponsors York Lab and CT Tick Control. And MUCHO thanks to our food businesses who donated gift cards/certificates for the free drawings: Boost Bowls, Cover Two, Dodgingtown Market, Dunkin Donuts, Familia Bleecker, Franco’s, Gino’s, Papa Al’s, Pizza Palace, Project Pizza, Robeks, Tambascio’s, and Zesto — deliciously generous!

Newtown is fortunate to have such dedicated and talented people living and working here. We are blessed to have terrific community events that bring us together, and give us an opportunity to have some good clean fun.

To all the attendees — thank you for coming. It is for you that we hold this free health and wellness fair to keep Newtown well.

A very special thank you to our Health District staff Maureen Schaedler, Laurel Shaw, Suzette LeBlanc, Joan Santucci and B.J. Halstead — all the support and hard work make a positive difference every day, and especially Health Fair day!
