Gerald F. Radacsi
Gerald F. Radacsi, 81, of Newtown, passed away on November 5. He was born September 8, 1940, in Bridgeport. He married Susan Forsberg Radacsi on October 22, 1959, and they were married 62 years. From a young age Gerry was a mechanic and had a knack for fixing car engines. He owned and operated a land clearing business in Newtown and enjoyed working outside with trees and tractors. Gerald had a passion for Corvettes and raced them locally, receiving many trophies throughout the years. Gerald was a person of faith who loved God and had numerous life-long friends in his church and in the community.
He leaves behind his wife Susan; brother Daniel and wife Marilyn of Newtown; and three nephews, Daniel and wife Jennifer, and their children, Stephen and Dillion, Glen and his children, Sterling and Tatum, and Tom; as well as his sister-in-law, Geri Radacsi, and his niece, Sara Radacsi.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bertie and Marjorie Witherwax Radacsi; his brother, John Radacsi; and his sister-in-law, Diane Forsberg.
A funeral service for Gerald will be held on November 20, at 10:30 am, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A lunch will follow at noon at the VFW, 18 Tinkerfield Road, Newtown.
