To the Editor:

I write to thank the residents of Newtown, Ridgefield, Bethel, and Redding for their encouragement, support, and kindness during my Judge of Probate campaign. I was astounded that so many people were willing to open their doors to a stranger, display my signs in their yards, and publicly endorse me.

I wish my colleague Dan O'Grady all the best and trust that he will continue the fine tradition established by Judge Joe Egan.

Participating in our democratic process has been an enormous privilege. I am humbled and very grateful to all, and particularly to the thousands of folks in Newtown, Ridgefield, Bethel, and Redding who voted for me.
