Griffin Hospital Hosts Breast Wellness Talk

Naugatuck — A free breast wellness talk set for 6:30 pm on November 19 at St Mary Church Hall, 338 North Main Street, aims to educate the community about breast cancer.

Cary Carpino, RN, of Griffin Hospital of Derby’s Parish Nursing Program will present “Be Empowered!” to bring awareness to the fact that Connecticut ranks second in the nation for the incidence of breast cancer and that several communities in the region have breast cancer mortality rates higher than the state average.
