Everyone Will Do Their Best

To the Editor:

I would like to congratulate all the candidates who won last night in our municipal election. Newtown is very fortunate to have so many capable citizens who are willing to run for office and serve our great town. I am confident that everyone will do their best in their respective new positions to represent all the people of our community.

I would also like to thank all the candidates who did not win. They also stepped up to offer their skills, talent, and experience to serve. Newtown would indeed be even more richly empowered if candidates who did not win would be invited to participate in a nonelected capacity. We all love our town and look to the future with hope and anticipation.

Again, congratulations to everyone!
