To the Editor:

I wish to thank all of those who supported me in my bid for a seat on the Board of Education, and I extend my congratulations and best wishes to the successful candidates.

The face of the BOE has been substantially changed with the addition of two new members and the reelection of a recent appointment. It is with great encouragement and anticipation that I look forward to positive changes in the way the board operates and the reevaluation of some of its policies.

There will be many tests facing this new school board over the next few years and it is my sincere hope that these new members will help the BOE meet these challenges for the betterment of our children and all the citizens of this great town of Newtown.
