Christmas Workshop Planned

Newtown Christian Church invites children in kindergarten through seventh grade to join them for a morning of fun and fellowship while exploring “The Real Meaning of Christmas” Saturday, December 1.

The program will begin at 9:30 am and end at 12:30 am. It will be held at the church, at 210 Sugar Street (Route 302).

On this special day, the children will be presented with a lesson about the birth of Jesus and the gifts of the Shepherds and Wise men.

The workshop teachers hope to impress upon the children that it is not important to spend a lot of money on Christmas gifts; that the real way to do this is love for one another. What better way to do this than to provide the children with the opportunity to hand make gifts for members of their family.

Lots of love, songs, games, and refreshments will be included to make what the church hopes will be one of the nicest and happiest pre-Christmas days for all who participate.

Registration is limited to the first 50 children and will close on November 25. To register call the church office at 426-6189 and leave a message for Penny Tanner. She will return calls to verify that children are registered.
