Help Fill The Fire Trucks

Newtown’s five fire departments will be joining together on Saturday, November 17, for the 6th Annual Fill The Fire Truck Food Drive.

Members of Sandy Hook Fire & Rescue Co., Newtown Hook & Ladder and Hawleyville Fire Departments will be in front of Big Y on Queen Street from 9 am to 2 pm. Members of United Fire Company of Botsford and Dodgingtown Fire Department will be in front of Super Stop & Shop, in Sand Hill Plaza on South Main Street, during the same hours.

Firefighters will be collecting turkeys, fresh vegetables, nonperishable items, and monetary donations. All donations will go immediately to the FAITH Food Pantry at St John’s Church in Sandy Hook center at the conclusion of the food drive.
