After attending the Youth Forum, what is one thing you would like Newtown to provide its young people?

(The High School Youth Advisory Board held a Youth Forum November 8 to discuss what types of things youth would like to see, particularly in terms of the development of Fairfield Hills.)

Tyler von Oy: “I think that there’s not enough things to do. Yeah, there’s the movies, but there needs to be more places for high school and middle school kids to hang out.”

Jen Koch: “More stuff for high school students. Dance club type things, miniature golf, bowling. Hang-out places where you can have fun without having to leave town or go far.”

Ben Roche: “A place to go to hang. A club or juice bar.”

Bailie Saltzman: “Bowling. I like that idea. It would be fun to have everybody come and hang out.”

Alex Doniger: “A bowling alley and/or skate park. A place we can hang out. I don’t really skate, but it would be fun to watch.”

Chris Morgan: “A skate park. Me and my friends always skateboard and we always get kicked out and in trouble with the police.”
