Meeting About Womenâs Studies
DANBURY â Western Connecticut State Universityâs Womenâs Studies Committee is presenting a âConversation About the Womenâs Studies Minor at Westernâ on Monday, November 15, from noon to 1:30 pm in the student center, midtown campus, 181 White Street.
WCSU professors Katy Weiss of the communication and theatre arts department (CTA) and Patricia Ivry, chair of the social work department, will offer brief presentations about the program.
CTA professor Jeanne Posner will then moderate a conversation between faculty, students and anyone else interested in learning more about the minor and the field of womenâs studies in general.

 Three governors of Connecticut were born or lived in Newtown. Isaac Tousey, elected governor in 1846, also served in the US Congress and Senate. Henry Dutton became governor of Connecticut in 1854, and Luzon B. Morris was elected in 1869.
