Maloney Sponsors Session

On Lake Shore Issues

US Rep Jim Maloney of Connecticut’s Fifth District will hold an informational meeting for residents who live along the Housatonic River and Candlewood Lake at 6 pm on Friday, November 12, at the Oxford Fire House, 15 Coppermine Road, in Oxford.

The purpose of this meeting is for the public to learn from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) how to effectively have a voice in the relicensing process for the Housatonic River Project.

Relicensing happens only every 20 to 50 years, so towns and cities should take this opportunity to express their views, Congressman Maloney said. Representatives from FERC and the Housatonic Valley Association will be at the meeting.

For more information, contact Phil Lewis in Congressman Maloney’s Waterbury office at 573-1418.
