To the Editor:

Thank you to the Newtown voters for their votes and their confidence. A quote by President John F. Kennedy came to mind last night, after we learned of the election results: "Let us not seek the Republican answer, or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future." The candidates elected last night, of which I am one, have been called to serve and bear the responsibility of Newtown's future. I am hopeful that we will work together to ensure that Newtown does, in fact, move forward, but that it does so without leaving anyone behind.
