Hunter Pace On November 20

Morris — The Litchfield Hills Hidden Ridge Hounds will hold its next event on Sunday, November 20, from 9 to 11 am (for ribbon consideration) at Anderson Farm. The preregistration fee is $70 for adults and $ 45 for juniors under 18, with lunch provided for riders. The luncheon for nonriders and guests who have preregistered will be $25.

LHHR is dedicated to preserving and enjoying its natural resources and heritage, while participating in the century-old country life activity of riding. The Fall Pace will take riders through the Litchfield Hills filled with picturesque meadows, brooks, woodlands, and rolling farmland. The fences will include post and rails, logs, stonewalls, coops and gates that will be about 2½ feet in height (with go-arounds at every fence). Horses must be well groomed and fit. There will be one checkpoint where horse and rider can relax. For registration and prepayment contact Steven Stirbl, DMD, MFH at 860-350-3535 (before 9 pm). There are four divisions of Hunt, Pleasure, Juniors and Western, and “of course” ribbons in all divisions.

Teams shall consist of two or three riders. Adult riding with juniors are considered in an adult division. All riders must wear ASTM-approved riding helmets with safety harness.

Every adult must sign a Release Agreement and Waiver of Liability, parent or guardian if under 18, before receiving his or her number. These release forms will be at the secretary’s registration tent.
