Hospital Gala Promises ‘Elegance’

WATERBURY — Waterbury Hospital invites the public to experience “A Touch of Elegance” at the 12th Annual Waterbury Hospital Charity Gala on Saturday, November 19, at the Villa Rosa Wedding & Banquet Facility (The Ponte Club). Recently-appointed Waterbury Hospital President & CEO Darlene Stromstad will greet arriving guests.

The gala, 5:30 pm to midnight, includes the hospital’s Humanitarian of the Year Award presentation to David Knight, MD, for his relief mission work in Third-World countries in Asia and Africa. The evening will also showcase a silent auction with as many as 75 items; a live auction of five extraordinary dining and travel experiences; hors d’oeuvres; dinner; an open bar; dancing; and a diamond raffle, donated by Onyx Jewelers II of Watertown.

Entertainment will be provided by Third Shift, featuring lead vocalist Nadina Perry, an employee in Waterbury Hospital’s One-Day Surgery Department.

Tickets are $175 per person, a portion of which is tax-deductible. All proceeds will benefit patient care in Orthopaedic Surgical Services.
