NEW MILFORD — TheatreWorks will present the holiday comedy The Santaland Diaries at its New Milford theatre beginning Friday, December 3.

Based on the hilarious and socially irreverent work of National Public Radio’s David Sedaris, The Santaland Diaries chronicles a special time: Mr Sedaris’ first holiday season in Manhattan and his seasonal job as an elf named Crumpet in Macy’s nightmarish Santaland.

The Santaland Diaries opens December 3 and will continue Friday and Saturday evenings through December 31. There are no performances Christmas weekend, but there will be a performance on New Year’s Eve.

All performances begin at 8:30 pm. On Thursday, December 2, senior citizens are invited to a free preview performance, which will also begin at 8:30.

Tickets for all shows are $12.50 for adults, and $10.50 for students and seniors. Patrons who bring an unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item (baby food is especially needed) for local charities will receive a $2 discount off each ticket.
