Members of Newtown United Methodist Church were so pleased with the response to September’s hybrid Spaghetti Supper, and the coffee house that followed, that they’re well into planning another.

All are invited to enjoy dinner, whether dining in the hall or, if they prefer, through curbside pickup.

Dinner is planned for Saturday, November 11, from 4 to 7 pm, at 92 Church Hill Road.

Cost is $16 for adults, $15 ages 62 and above, and $8 for ages 12 and under, for the full dinner to include spaghetti or zoodles with choice of sauce (marinara, meat, spicy), garlic bread, garden salad, fruit salad, and dessert.

Gluten-free meals are available for an additional $1 each, and large meatballs or sausage links are also available for $1 each.

Reservations are required for curbside pickup, and requested for in-person dining; telephone 203-217-9732 for either.

Volunteer Karan Goodhue told The Newtown Bee that in honor of Veterans Day, a Boy Scout Honor Guard will present the flags that evening.

Additionally, to help meet the needs of those facing food insecurity in Newtown, donations for FAITH Food Pantry are being requested.

Live After-Dinner Music

Continuing the tradition of an NUMC Coffee House following dinner, live music will again be performed on November 11.

RJ Storm & The Old School Bluegrass Band will fill the hall with music, with guests encouraged to enjoy coffee and desserts.

Admission is free. As with dinner, guests are asked to bring a nonperishable donation for the local food pantry.

Reservations are not needed for the coffee house.
