Alice Louise Miller, 73, of Sandy Hook died October 28 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. She was born December 14, 1942, in Bedford, Penn., to Elmer and Olla Reta Morris, who both preceded her in death.

Her loving daughter, Lisa Miller Klein, and son-in-law, Jason Klein, of Southbury survive her. Also surviving her are her brothers, John Morris and his wife, Connie, of Everett, Penn., and Tom Morris of Buffalo Mills, Penn.; her beloved nieces; as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ms Miller was a longtime resident of Connecticut, where she has lived since leaving her childhood home in Bedford, Penn., at the age of 20. She returned to school to further her education in 1977. She graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 1981 and worked as a computer programmer until her retirement from Duracell in 2001.

She was an animal lover - especially doting on her cats, an excellent gardener, and an avid reader.

The family will have private services.
