Virginia Rand Alexander, 67, of Jefferson City, Mo., mother of Cynthia Buckman of Newtown, died on October 29 at the home of her daughter in Newtown.
The wife of Maurice Alexander of Jefferson City, Mo., Virginia was born in Kansas City, Mo., March 16, 1936, the daughter of Henry D. and Evelyn (Ingerson) Rand.
In addition to her husband and daughter, Virginia is survived by her son-in-law, Bob Buckman of Newtown; a son, David Drury and his wife Debbie, of Gardner, Kan.; stepdaughter Susan Herron of Ozawkie, Kan.; three brothers, Richard Rand and his wife, Lois, of Perry Farms, Fla., Robert Rand and his wife, Lorinda, of Uptown, Calif., and David Rand and his wife, Joyce, of Leeâs Summit, Mo.; a sister, Loretta Harshner and her husband, Cecil, of Mansfield, Mo.; and 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Erin, Luke, and Jacob Drury; Laura and Alex Buckman; Addison, Collin and Taylor Herron; and Ty and Michelle Fowler.
A stepdaughter, Connie Fowler, preceded her in death.
Services and interment were scheduled to take place in Jefferson, Mo.
Memorials to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 405 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810, would be greatly appreciated.
The Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Avenue, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
