United Way Surveys The Community On Most Pressing Needs
DANBURY â The United Way of Northern Fairfield County is asking for help in understanding the areas of greatest need in the greater Danbury area. During the month of November, the United Way is asking members of the greater Danbury community to fill out a needs assessment survey that rates areas of concern ranging from poverty, lack of jobs and affordable housing, to overcrowded classrooms, drug/alcohol abuse, and public transportation.
The anonymous surveys are being distributed by mail, through community organizations, social service agencies, religious organizations, and in person. A random sample of residents will receive a phone survey. The results will help the United Way determine its areas of emphasis in the future.
Surveys are available by calling Alecia or Nancy at the United Way at 792-5330. They must be returned by November 30.
