Super Shootout Basketball Contest To Benefit The American Red Cross On November 22
DANBURY â A&P Superfoodmart and the American Red Cross of Western Connecticut are looking for the areaâs best basketball shooter(s) to participate in A&P SuperShootout. The event will be held in WestConnâs OâNeil Arena on Saturday, November 22.
The SuperShootout is a fundraiser to benefit the Red Cross, and will include a free-throw-shooting contest, a three-point shooting contest, and a hot shot (variable) contest. Both women and men will be able to compete in three different age groups: youth, adult, and over 40. Contestants may enter one contest for $5, two for $8, and all three for $12. A variety of prizes will be presented, including a complimentary event T- shirt.
The shooting contest will take place during the 11th Annual Masters Basketball Challenge and the first Womenâs Three on Three Seniors Basketball Challenge, sponsored by Courtney Dodge-Kia and Triple Double Enterprises. The tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday, November 22â23.
The American Red Cross of Western Connecticut will offer concession sales during the event. Businesses or individuals may contribute to the Shootout at three levels: $100, $250, and $500. The shootout coordinators are Bryan Tinsley, Jay Srinivas, and Tom Kane.
