Amber M. Gervais and Alec Libby were married August 2 in Freeport, Maine, with the Rev Earle Chapman, the brideâs grandfather, officiating.
A reception was held at the Harraseeket Inn, Freeport, Maine.
The bride is the daughter of Roland Gervais and Paula and Dan Benson.
The groom is the son of Eleanor Libby.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a strapless dress and a full-length veil purchased at the Great White Way in Watertown. She carried a bouquet of stephanotis.
Maid of honor was Katie Elworthy of Cape Cod, Mass.
Best man was Ross Libby of Waldoboro, Maine.
The bride attended Connecticut College and graduated with the Class of 2001. She is in her third year as a third grade teacher at Sandy Hook School.
The groom attended the New England School of Communication. He is employed by Verizon Wireless of Meriden.
After a wedding trip to St Lucia, the couple is residing in Naugatuck.
