A Wonderful Halloween Tradition

This year’s Halloween on Main Street was truly a delightful experience. As I handed out candy in front of Flagpole Realty, I couldn’t help notice the amount of time and effort people put into their costumes. They were so creative! The children were all very well mannered, each saying thank you and wishing us a “Happy Halloween”! Even the parent’s costumes were festive.

How many towns can offer this kind of family activity? We should be proud to live in Newtown where community spirit is still very much alive. We should also thank the residents of Main Street for their extraordinary efforts to decorate their homes and welcome fellow residents to their doors for treats. Next year we will try not to run out of candy! See you then.
