Thanks To District 2

To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people in District 2 who voted for me to be their representative on the Legislative Council. I would especially like to thank those who made phone calls for me and supported me in numerous ways. I’m sure I will forget some, but, believe me, it is not intentional.

First, I would like to thank several members of “Support Our Schools” that put in a lot of time and effort on my behalf: Cheryl Clark, Deb Hoffman, Cathy Lombard, and Joan Salbu. I truly appreciate everything they did for me. I would also like to thank those who campaigned with me in their neighborhoods and at Dunkin’ Donuts: Mike and Mary Kelly, Alan Clavette, Tim Holian, Stephanie Mingy, Joe Bojnowski, and Herb Rosenthal.

I would particularly like to thank Gene Vetrano and Eric D’Eramo, who included me in much of their efforts as we tried to form a united front in Sandy Hook. Gene and Eric worked extremely hard and mounted a very impressive campaign.

I would like to thank Earl Smith and the Democratic Town Committee for giving me the opportunity to run, and for all of their support.

Last, but definitely not least, I would like to thank my family for their support and hard work and for putting up with my many absences over the past several months: Maribeth, Maggie and, notably, Sarah (my Campaign Manager). I couldn’t have done it without you – you’re the best.

Again, I’m sure I missed some people, and I apologize. Thanks again for your support, and I’m looking forward to serving you on the council.
