Pleased To Serve Again

To the Editor:

Many thanks to the people of Newtown who voted for me. I am very pleased that I can again serve you as a member of the Board of Selectmen. Your confidence in me to help lead our community forward during this challenging period for our town is most appreciated.

It is clear to me that without the support of so many friends, fellow candidates, particularly those running for Legislative Council, and the many other people who worked so hard on the campaign, I would not have prevailed in such a tight election. To all of them a very large thanks. An election as an incumbent brings with it new challenges and demands. A special thanks to Herb for the way he incorporated me into our campaign and his leadership during its many twists and turns.

One of the many reasons I worked so very hard to be reelected was to continue the work on Fairfield Hills. I encourage all citizens of Newtown to participate so that a plan with vision is created and that Fairfield Hills can be our centerpiece for the 21st Century.
