Wreath-Making, Using Found Items For Workhop

BETHLEHEM — Anyone interested in decorating their front door with a winter wreath they have created by hand, from items found in their own backyard, is invited to join Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden horticulturist Robin Zitter during a hand-on workshop on wreath making on Saturday, November 18. The workshop will run from 9 am to noon at the Bethlehem historic site at 9 Main Street.

Admission is $20 for members of The Friends of Ferriday Garden and The Antiquarian and Landmarks Society and $30 for non-members.

Participants will walk through the historic Ferriday Garden to see examples of different foliage, flowers, seed pods, nuts and berries that can be used for making wreaths. All supplies and materials needed to make a wreath will be provided. Participants should bring pruning shears; glue guns are also recommended but not necessary.

Robin Zitter received her horticulture certificate from the New York Botanic Garden and has been a professional horticulturist for 20 years. In addition to being the horticulturist of the Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden since 1993, Ms Zitter also maintains her own business, providing horticulture services to private clients.

For more information concerning the workshop, The Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden or The Antiquarian & Landmarks Society, call 203/266-7596.
