Helen Howard

Helen Puskas Howard, 80, beloved wife of the late Louis Puskas of Sun City West, Ariz., died November 3 at the home of her daughter, Judith Smith, on Philo Curtis Road in Sandy Hook.

She was born in Bridgeport, November 15, 1919, daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Beres. A longtime Bridgeport area resident, she lived in Arizona for the past 22 years.

Besides her daughter, she is survived by one son, William L. Puskas of New London, N.H.; two sisters, Anne Gallagher of Trumbull, and Viola Beres of Bridgeport; and four grandchildren, Laura Mitchell, Ronald Smith, Jr, and Christine and Jeanette Smith.

The funeral was held on November 6 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Burial was in St John Cemetery, Stratford.
