Ball To Benefit Kennedy Center

TRUMBULL — Newtown residents Susan Filan and Susan Batcha are two of the over 70 community leaders serving on the 36th Annual Four Seasons Ball committee to benefit The Kennedy Center. Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton will provide the elegant setting for this gala event set for Saturday, November 11 at 7 pm.

This black tie optional dinner dance features a social hour with hors d’oeuvres, full-course dinner, and dancing to the band All-Star Entertainment. This ball benefits The Kennedy Center’s residential programs, which provide persons with disabilities an opportunity to live and work independently in the community.

Call the Kennedy Center at 203/365-8522, extension 216, for info. Tickets cost $150 per person.

The Kennedy Center will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2001. It currently serves more than 1,200 persons with disabilities from birth through seniors each year. In addition, The Center provides case management services to approximately 3,000 persons in the Welfare to Work and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)  groups throughout the year. It operates 14 group residences, a behavioral health clinic, an industries program composed of six businesses, supported and competitive employment programs, a family support and respite service, a travel training service throughout Connecticut, the Boston, Mass., metropolitan area, and all of the boroughs of New York City, and children’s programs in many Conn. communities.
