MNRI Specialists Returning Next Week For Three Days
MNRI
®
(Masgutova Neuro-Sensory-Motor Reflex Integration) is gentle, specific and effective therapy to restore and empower. The MNRI
®
PTS/PTSD Program offers the “missing link” to release stress and post-traumatic reactions.
According to Shannon Desilets, PT, MNRI Core Specialist, “Negative stress and trauma automatically trigger reflexive protective responses of the brain. Stress can be anchored and become a chronic pathway in order to continue to live.
“The activation of primary reflex patterns in constant survival mode creates a vicious cycle and lead to the mind and body being overworked,” she contined. “MNRI
®
supports resilience and integrity of the body and mind by replacing negative protective responses with positive protection. The reflex integration exercises unique to MNRI® support associated functions of sensory perception and processing, motor activity, behavior, emotional stability, focusing, memory, professional performance and learning.”
A team of seven highly trained national and international MNRI
®
specialists are returning to Newtown to work with residents on Monday through Wednesday, November 10-12.
Dr Svetlana Masgtuova, the creator of the program, will be one of those returning to serve the community. Teams of MNRI
®
specialists have been in Newtown several times since 12/14.
Among the feedback received by residents who have participated in MNRI sessions was a note from one mother who told them team in part: “You were so wonderful to me and my children. My 8-year old daughter was having a lot of trouble sleeping since 12/14. After her first treatment with you all (which she LOVED) she began sleeping through the night and has been ever since. We look forward to you coming back! Thanks so much.”
Another woman, a mother of two, wrote recently that she was “happy and grateful” to hear that the team would be returning.
“You were so gracious with your time and expertise in this fascinating therapy many of us knew little about. Not anymore … Many of us were happy to feel such relief the therapy we received. It was very helpful and I would like to receive more of your healing touch!”
Ms Desilets said she and the other therapists “look forward to returning to volunteer their services for the community again.”
Treatment sessions will take place at The Resiliency Center of Newtown, 153 South Main Street. Appointments last between 60 and 90 minutes. There is no charge for the therapy session.
