Woodbury Litchfield Foxhounds Hunter Pace

MORRIS—The Woodbury Litchfield Hills Foxhounds will hold its Hunter Pace on Sunday, November 8, from 9 am to noon, at Anderson Farm in Morris.

The pre-registration fee is $50 for adults and $30 for juniors under 18 with lunch provided for riders. The luncheon for non-riders and guests who have pre-registered will be $20.

WLHF is dedicated to preserving and enjoying its natural resources and heritage, while participating in the century old country life activity of riding to hounds. The Fall Pace will take riders through the Litchfield Hills filled with picturesque meadows, brooks, woodlands and rolling farmland. The fences will include post and rails, logs, stonewalls, coops and gates with fences being approximately 2-foot-6 in height with go around at every fence. Horses must be well groomed and fit.  here will be one checkpoint where horse and rider can relax.

A perpetual trophy and replica will be presented to the winning team in the Hunt Division in memory of Dr Robert Berger. 

Teams shall consist of two or three riders. Adults riding with juniors are considered in the adult division. All riders must wear ASTM approved riding helmets with a safety harness. Every adult rider must sign a Release Agreement and Waiver of Liability (parent or guardian if under 18), before receiving his or her number. These release forms will be at the secretary’s registration building. A copy of a current Coggins test can be given to the secretaries at the day of the event.
