Village Boutique
Returning To Trinity Church
Trinity Episcopal Church will present its annual Village Boutique on Main from 9 am until 3 pm on Saturday, November 7.
The event â featuring local merchants, skilled workers, and artisans with a wide variety of goods and services â will be a fundraiser for Trinityâs Journey To Adulthood (J2A) class. Proceeds will help cover some of the costs associated with the Confirmation classâs pilgrimage in July 2010 to Borderlands, S.D.
âWeâll have a bake sale, the kids will help set up and clean up the sale, theyâll be dressed as elves and helping with the photos with Santa booth, and theyâll be babysitting,â said Sue Vogelman, the childrenâs and youth minister at Trinity. âItâs their pilgrimage, so weâre letting them do a lot of work for this event. Itâs important for them to learn responsibility, among other things, so theyâre doing a lot of the organizing and planning.â
Admission to Village Boutique on Main is free. Onsite babysitting will be for ages 2 to 5, and a $5 donation per child is requested. The event will be rain or shine, in the churchâs undercroft. Trinity is at 36 Main Street.
