Nonnenmacher Joins Peoples Bank

BRIDGEPORT — Paul T. Nonnenmacher, Jr, of Newtown has joined People’s Bank as media relations officer in the Corporate Communications department.

Mr Nonnenmacher came to People’s Bank from the Bridgeport Regional business Council, where he was director of communications. Prior to joining the BRBC, he was communications and program manager for Connecticut United for Research Excellence and an award-winning reporter, editor, and columnist for newspapers in three states, including 15 years with the Connecticut Post and its predecessors.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Rhode Island.

He lives with his wife Catherine and their daughter Nicole in Newtown, where he serves St Rose of Lima Church as a special minister of the Eucharist, catechist and Parish Advisory Council member. He is a member of the Fairfield County Public Relations Association and a former member of the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Society of professional journalists, and the Baseball Writers Association of America.
