Stuart P. McCarthy, 63, of Newburgh, N.Y., and formerly of Newtown, died unexpectedly November 2 at St Luke Hospital, Newburgh. He was born February 17, 1952, in Mount Vernon, N.Y.

His mother, Marianne Muskus of Newtown; his brother, John McCarthy; son, Stuart, Jr; grandson, Shane; his former wife, Lucretia Peluso of Norwalk; his sister-in-law Eve McCarthy; and other relatives survive Mr McCarthy. His brother, Kevin, predeceased him.

Mr McCarthy enjoyed working out at the local gym. After his retirement as a truck driver, six months ago, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandson.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
