Members of the Newtown Commission on Aging (COA) will be available to help senior residents enroll in CodeRED, Newtown’s emergency alert system, this month.

COA members will be at Newtown Senior Center, 14 Riverside Road, each Monday for the rest of November starting at 3 pm. The CodeRED system sends phone or e-mail messages to inform residents about emergencies.

“All residents can enroll in CodeRED by going to the Town of Newtown web site and clicking on the link for CodeRED, but we are available to help seniors who would like some assistance,” said COA Commissioner Sheila Torres. 

Walk-ins are welcome or residents can call the senior center at 203-270-4310 to sign up for an appointment.
